UIC60 Rail
Many level crossings fitted with the new G44 sleeper and fastclip using UIC60 rail are now using the Polysafe level crossings system as the most reliable and cost effective package

Croydon
Tramway is now successfully up and running using the plain polymer panel system, all supplied by Polysafe to very tight delivery schedules and special architectural finishes.

Groundbeams
The Polysafe ground beams are proving to be far superior to any other kerb system supplied for any level crossing. Facilities include adjustment to compensate for tamping of track movement giving replaced panels tight accurate re-fitting.

New Polymer compounds in production
Improved Polymer concrete design using new resins combined with advanced curing procedures give more cost effective and stronger products. This is part of our continual investment in polymer technology.

Bomac replacements
All Polysafe products are now regularly used to 'Patch replace' obsolete Bomac level crossings. Being completely compatible ensures easy replacement with short possession times.

Maintenance is a thing of the past
Due to the fully sealed system devised by Polysafe, dirt and other materials cannot corrode the rail fixings and therefore sleeper maintenance is minimal. This sealed system also gives complete track insulation without track circuit malfunctions. The pumping action which draws water through the ballast and eventually effects the stability of the track and crossing, (a common problem with rubber level crossings) has been eliminated by supporting the panels on full length rubber wedges into the rail, giving a gap between the panel and the sleeper underneath, this allows air to freely circulate.

Safety Issues
Safety is a priority for all level crossings, unique securing brackets with easily fitting sleeper clips and deflector plates, secure the whole crossing into place – ensuring absolutely no movement. In order to avoid slipping or skidding accidents, the top surface of any crossing should give ALL traffic the ability to stop quickly and have the capability for a sure standing start in an emergency. Research shows that the most suitable material to give high skid resistance is graded bauxite. We use this compound exclusively as the top surface of our panels. Incidentally bauxite is also used extensively on road surfaces, particularly on approaches to roundabouts and pedestrian crossings where again safety is paramount.
